Wellington Rugby Club

We have been working in partnership with Transition Town Wellington to identify more roof mounted solar projects in Wellington. The first scheme where this will bear fruit is the popular Wellington Rugby Club. Initial surveys have indicated that a 10kW solar pv scheme could be installed generating 9,722kWh of clean, green electricity yearly.

The Rugby Club will benefit from free electricity generated by the panels and profits from the sale of the electricity and FiT (Feed in Tariff) payments will provide money for a community fund for Wellington administered by Transition Town Wellington .

They’re up! We raised enough money from the new share issue to cover the deposit so EcoExmoor have done a stirling job and got the panels installed and ready to generate electricity. The 5th BE green power station is up and running! Well done to the Rugby Club, TTW, Greenslade Taylor Hunt and EcoExmoor for partnering this scheme through to reality.
